What Are Biotic and Abiotic Factors in an Ecosystem?

An ecosystem is a community of living organisms interacting with each other and with their physical surroundings in a particular area. Every ecosystem is built from two categories of components: biotic (living) factors and abiotic (non-living) factors, and both are essential for life to survive there.
