What are French Negation Structures?

French negation structures are grammatical patterns that turn positive sentences into negative ones. The most common is ne...pas, but French also uses ne...plus (no longer), ne...rien (nothing), and ne...jamais (never).

Short answer

French negation uses two parts around the verb: ne + negation word (pas, plus, rien, jamais, etc.). For example: Je ne suis pas fatigué (I am not tired). Each negation has a specific meaning and usage.
